The international symposium "Biomedical Side Effects of Doping" was organized on the 21st of October, 2006 by the Institute of Public Health Research of the Technische Universität München covered by an EU project. More than 200 scientists, coaches, physicians, politicians and further interested guests from 22 nations got together at the sports faculty. Everybody followed the presentations on biomedical side effects of diverse doping substances with lively interest as well as on the political and socio-scientific topics on doping. Especially, presentations of newly designed doping prevention studies attracted lots of attention.
